Motorhome Servicing - Mechanical
Regular motorhome servicing is crucial to keeping your vehicle in top condition. Every year, ensure you schedule an oil and filter change as part of your routine maintenance. Servicing the base vehicle is not only vital for maintaining any existing warranty or extended warranty but also provides peace of mind and helps retain your motorhome’s value. This makes motorhome servicing just as important as a habitation service. That’s why, here at Silverstone Motorhome and Caravan Servicing, we proudly offer comprehensive motorhome servicing.
In addition to standard servicing, we also provide a range of mechanical services, including brake and clutch replacements, as well as performance upgrades. Whatever your motorhome needs, our team is here to ensure it stays road-ready and reliable.
Your Engine and Mechanics
The engine itself should be serviced, ideally between 5,000 and 10,000 miles.
We recommend changing the brake fluid every 2 years although every year is an option depending on your wishes.
We will advise on changing your transmission fluid as required and check the battery and terminals.
We will always check coolant fluid levels and recommend flushing/changing as per the manufacturers specifications.
Chassis and Suspension
As part of our service, we will check the condition of the chassis. If you have ALKO suspension we recommend this is serviced yearly for peace of mind.
MOT
It is important that you get your MOT completed on year 3 then every year of the motorhome life. Unfortunately we do not complete MOT’s at Silverstone Motorhome and Caravan Servicing but there are plenty of class MOT testers local to us that can help you.

Habitation Servicing
If you are looking for motorhome habitation servicing and habitation checks we are able to offer this service too. This can be completed at the same time as your chassis base service or separately.
